About Leaders of Tomorrow
The NBMBAA Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) ® program targets high school students who show promise, drive and ambition across a broad spectrum, guiding them towards lifelong success through education and direct exposure to working professionals, entrepreneurs and business educators.
Founded in 1991 at the 13th Annual National Black MBA Association® (NBMBAA) Conference and Exposition in New York, Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT) is an academic enrichment and leadership program serving high school students who demonstrate leadership potential. The LOT program currently serves young adults, ages 14 – 18, in 33 chapters throughout the United States and Canada, along with a contingency in London. Through local and national programming, LOT students are provided an opportunity to develop their leadership, academic and personal skills through specialized curriculum that focuses on mentoring, cultural exposure, experiential learning and college preparation. Our purpose is to prepare students for college and support their successful transition into adulthood. LOT initiatives include local programming, an annual Leadership Camp, LOT Case Competition, LOT Conference and local and national scholarships.
Our Vision – Milwaukee Chapter
The vision is to improve our community by committing to building a network of leaders in the Milwaukee area who will work on the most pressing social, educational and political problems. This begins by tapping into leadership qualities early in development and bringing them into fruition by the guidance of the program leader and committee.
Our purpose is to prepare students for college and support their successful transition into adulthood. LOT initiatives include local programming, an annual Leadership Camp, LOT Case Competition, LOT Conference and local and national scholarships. Our target are children with a “C” average or boarding a “C” average as it is recognized that other students with higher averages have opportunities for scholarships and mentorships but these burgeoning leaders need a hand up as well.
